Are you one of those who leaves your bed messy? You now have a valid
reason to. According to research from Kingston University, making your
bed in the morning traps the dust mites which gather at night and
therefore provide a breeding ground for allergens.
The research noted that , at night, we may become warm and sweaty
leaving scales of our skin on the sheets, enabling an environment in
which dust mites thrive. So by making our beds in the morning, we are
unknowingly fact trapping the microscopic bugs in their ideal
environment apparently allowing the bed to house up to 1.5 million of
the creatures.
But by leaving your bed untidy, those mites are exposed to air and sunlight, which causes them to become dehydrated and die out.
